In creating this piece, I sought to capture the ephemeral dance of light across vast landscapes. My brushstrokes in oil merge hues of twilight with the dynamic forms of the earth, blending realism with abstraction in a harmonious symphony of colors. I wish to evoke a sense of peace and profound wonder, inviting viewers to ponder the vastness and beauty of the natural world. This artwork is a serene yet powerful presence, ideal for imbuing any space with a sense of calm and inspiration. This is the 82nd DUNES painting from the series inception in 2012. It has evolved over time. For instance, I have developed more complex color. It is very sensitive, meaning each color is specific and intentional. The sky, for example, transitions from a blue with red to a blue with green. Lavender to teal can be seen. I exaggerate in order to communicate the marvelous expanse of what the eye sees in one view.
